# How to view the price of a Key via the CLI

When purchasing Keys via the CLI, you may use the `estimate-node-purchase-price` command to view the total cost (in Arb ETH) of purchasing a specified number of Keys.

The price of Xai Sentry Keys increase in tranches per [**this table**](/xai-network/kn/about-xai/xai-2/sentry-key-pricing-tiers.md). If your purchase crosses a tranche, the `estimate-node-purchase-price` command will account for the higher unit price of Keys in its calculation.

Here's how to use this function to retrieve the estimated cost of purchasing a specified number of Keys (not including gas):

1. Type in the command `estimate-node-purchase-price` into the CLI.
2. Enter the quantity of Keys you would like to purchase.
3. Hit 'Enter'.
4. View the result for "Estimated Total Price".
