Overview

A Delegate Statement must be created before the voting period commences for your voting power to count towards a proposal outcome

Participating in Xai Governance is easy. You can participate directly by voting on proposals, or by delegating your voting power to others. Below is a step by step of how to get setup and participate. You will need to do the following:

• Connect your wallet

• Create a delegate statement

• Acquire voting power (XAI, esXAI or staked esXAI in your wallet) and delegate to yourself

• Alternatively, you can delegate your voting power to a Delegate

• A small amount of ArbETH for governance txns (delegating voting power, voting on proposals)

Setup your voting account

You will need to connect each wallet that holds XAI or esXAI for that voting power to be used in proposals. You can delegate each wallet to a single Delegate to make it easier to vote on various proposals if your XAI and esXAI holdings are spread across multiple wallets.

Connect your wallet to gov.xai.games

1. Go to https://gov.xai.games

1. Click Connect Wallet (top right corner)

1. Select your preferred wallet provider

1. Now your wallet is connected to the gov.xai.games site

Check Voting Power

1. Connect your wallet (for guidance see above)

2. Click on your wallet (top right corner)

   
3. See voting power under “My XAI + esXAI (incl. Staked) balance”

Delegate voting power to yourself

Delegating voting power and setting up a Delegate statement is required to vote on proposals. However, setting up a Delegate statement is a public profile that anyone can access. The details you provide are optional that you can update later. See below for more details on setting up a Delegate statement.

You will need ArbETH to delegate your voting power (to yourself or others) as this is an onchain transaction. This is a required step if you want your voting power to count towards proposals.

1. Click on Delegate

   
2. If you don’t see this screen click on your wallet (top right corner)

   
3. Click “Create delegate statement”

   
4. On the right side of the screen click “Delegate”

   
5. Confirm you want to delegate voting power to yourself

   
6. Click Delegate

7. Confirm in your wallet the Transaction request (ensuring you have enough funds for the Network fee)

Delegate voting power to someone else

1. Go to https://gov.xai.games/delegates

   
2. On the card of the delegate profile you want to delegate voting power to, select Delegate

   
3. Confirm in your wallet the Transaction request (ensuring you have enough funds for the Network fee)

Setup a Delegate statement

A Delegate statement is required to vote in a proposal. The information you choose to share is public but can be updated later

A Delegate statement is a public profile of your voting power. You can setup a Delegate statement to help others decide if they should delegate their voting power to you.

1. Connect your wallet (for guidance see above)

2. Click on your wallet (top right)

   
3. Click on Create delegate statement

   
4. Fill in your details

   
5. Click Submit delegate profile (bottom of form)

   
6. Confirm Signature request in wallet

Voting for a proposal

You will need ArbETH to vote on a proposal as this is an onchain transaction

1. Find proposal at https://gov.xai.games/proposals

2. Connect your wallet (for guidance see above)

3. Select proposal to vote on

4. Select if you are going to support, reject or abstain from the proposal

5. (Optional) Add a comment/reason for your vote

6. Click vote
